Jovinna
Prior to working at Kripalu, she spent 10 years as an actress and dancer in New York City, where she cofounded Fluid Motion Theater & Film, Inc. Along with a variety of yoga mentors, Jovinna’s movement teaching is influenced by Martha Graham, Soul Motion, karate, and traditional Korean dance.
Alan
With a light hearted banter and regular reminders of the union of breath and movement, Alan emphasizes the "feel" of a posture more so than the look. His every-person approach to yoga and his gift of putting people at ease provides a comfortable environment for practitioners of all builds, backgrounds and ages to explore the benefits of yoga.
He is a certified Kripalu and Yoga Ed k-8 teacher and has also completed the David Swenson 40 hour Ashtanga Yoga Adjustment Teacher Training Workshop. Over the last few years he has assisted in several yoga and hiking weekends at the Kripalu Center in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, as both a hike leader and staff manager.
Steve
Steve has a long active mindful practice in nature, with a particular interest in geology and local birding.
Steve is also a dad to 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren, with lots of personal parenting experience and theoretical discussion about it.
John Mann
Inspired to bring the three elements together, this week of meditation, yoga, hiking and whale watching emerged.
The opportunity to explore yoga and meditation with these gifted teachers, to move mindfully through the abundant natural beauty of Nova Scotia, to nourish our bodies with high vibe food and excerise and to share an inquiry into our own connection with Spirit is a gift and a dream.
